Pierre-James Murphy is a filmmaker, writer, and creator whose work spans entrepreneurship, product development, and independent film production. Early in his career, he explored original intellectual property development, including designing a concept product tied to one of his scripted projects, before transitioning deeper into filmmaking through relationships built within the Toronto film industry.
His on-set experience includes producing, visual effects, and work with Unreal Engine, giving him a practical foundation in both physical production and real-time workflows. Guided by industry professionals, he began developing contained, high-concept thrillers, which helped shape his approach to storytelling.
Alongside his creative work, Pierre-James has built a career as a working film industry professional, with on-set credits including Memory of a Killer starring Patrick Dempsey, FUBAR starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Gen V, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
Around the same time, an interest in the Washington, D.C.–based United States Navy Band Sea Chanters influenced him to develop a Navy SEAL action thriller centred on underwater operations and unexplained phenomena. Through his industry connections, he acquired a high-tech submersible set to support the project's development.
Today, Pierre-James focuses on producing his Navy-inspired science fiction film while creating YouTube content exploring UAP and USO-related topics for a growing audience. In parallel, he is developing a documentary series on Laurence Gobright, a Washington, D.C.–based journalist closely connected to Abraham Lincoln — considered an unofficial member of the Lincoln administration, widely regarded as the only uncensored journalist in Washington during the American Civil War, and the first to report on Lincoln's assassination.
Outside of filmmaking, he continues to study music composition and collaborate with composers, expanding the creative scope of his work.
